Discover the Encyclopedia As WAKFU thrives, and more and more content gets added to the game, you might find yourselves in the need of detailed information about this monster or that item. Worry not! The Encyclopedia will do just that for you, and even more! Learn more about this new tool and more importantly: the opportunity to take part in its implementation!

What’s the Encyclopedia?

You will soon no longer need to run around for hours in search for the one monster you were trying to defeat!
With the Encyclopedia, all you’ll need to do is just type in the name, and you’ll get all the information you need about the beast!

Detailed stats, list of spells, drops, harvests, locations, the Encyclopedia will lay these monsters bare! No secrets shall be withheld from you any longer!

But it’s not only about monsters; you’ll also find detailed information about Classes, Items, Crafting, Achievements, etc…

Easy as piwi, right?

Now what if we told you that you can participate in this titanic project? What if a single screenshot could bring you fame and fortune?

How can I Participate?

The monsters section will have space for screenshots. Many of them!

We will start by announcing a batch of monsters that require visuals. If you want a chance to become the author of the official avatar picture of one of these monsters, all you’ll have to do is take screenshots in the game, and post them on the Encyclopedia. The Community Managers will then elect the best ones, and publish them officially. Note that you can send entries for both the avatar picture, and screenshots.

If your screenshot is selected, you’ll receive 5 Bronze Tokens directly on your account. Also, your Ankama nickname will be publicly displayed with your screenshot.

Here are some ground rules regarding the screenshots:
  • The monster should be facing three quarters to the right (ie. halfway between a face-on view and a profile view, facing right).
  • It should be in the center of the shot.
  • If you’re submitting an avatar, there should not be any other elements in the shot.
  • There should not be any text in the shot.
  • The interface must be hidden.
  • Edited screenshots will be automatically discarded.

Note that you can hide your interface by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Space. You can take a screenshot by pressing F12. Your screenshots are then saved in the directory: C:\Program Files\Wakfu\screenshots.

How to submit a screenshot?

Just visit the Encyclopedia page of the monster you want to provide a screenshot for, and click “Provide a picture” under the avatar space if you want to submit an avatar, or over the screenshots space if you want to submit a screenshot. Note that each monster can have one avatar, and 5 screenshots. You’re free to send as many entries as you want.

A window will appear, providing you with a summary of the rules. Click “Submit my picture”.

The explorer will then open, allowing you to browse your folders and find the screenshot you want to submit.

Once you opened your screenshot, a new window will offer you to select a part of your screenshot as thumbnail.
Once you are satisfied with the selection, click “Confirm”.

A final window will pop up, confirming that your screenshot was sent.

What should we start with then?

For this first week, we ask you to submit screenshots for monsters belonging to the following families:
  • Wodents
  • Bow Meows
  • Humanoids
  • Piwis

You have until next week to submit your entries!

Note that you can also send in your entries for other families, but we will not start reviewing them until we officially announce the contest for this specific family open.

Now don’t waste a second and go hunt them all!

This is great, really convenient to find the game's information here rather than somewhere else

The unannounced kama recipes don't seem to work. Is this intended?

Finally, I've been wanting to see this information for ages. As long as you keep it current unlike the other bestiaries and such this will be great. So happy to see this!

Yes these are wrong and not implemented in the game. They're about to be removed from the Encyclopedia.

This is a nice addition, some of the class information is wrong however, like sram and masqueraider active support ap costs. Those new kama recipes look great, looking forward to their implementation.

I'm glad that old encyclopedia was updated.
However It seemes doesn't work for me as intended
In order to open anything, i have to open each of the links in new Tab (I'm using google chrome).
When I'm clicking on the link (for example tailor proffesion) the page doesn't refresh with Tailor informations.

Don't forget prospecting locks! Apparently you need at least 400 prospecting to drop craft, merchant, and garden gems at royal bosses~

I'm with Mattus on this... Have to enter the URL into a new tab to get it to load. Great improvement, and I guess I can still use most of the functions, but would be nice if it flowed smoothly from page to page.

Please try to clear your cache as your browser might still be trying to use the old encyclopedia page.

Great!

Highest pp lock discovered so far is 600. Any higher values?
If not every complete group could at least break every pp lock.

XP-Values for recipes would be also great or did I miss them?

ok so I love that drop rates are listed, now wtf is a bloodthirsty at .6% and a kraken bp and imperial stritch at .3%? orange bp supposed to be twice as rare as legendary bloodthirsty? (i get that we can do the bosses over and over, and we cant with mw)
