Kickstart your Krosmaster Fantasies! English fans of Krosmaster Arena, we’re about to make your dreams come true! So many of you have asked if it will ever be possible to buy the Krosmaster board game and our irresponsibly cute figurines outside of France. Now, thanks to Japanime Games and Kickstarter, the answer could finally be “yes!”

If you are really eager to be able to play the English version of the Krosmaster Arena boardgame, you can now participate in the Kickstarter funding project created by our new American partner, Japanime Games. If this project reaches its goals, the Krosmaster Arena board game and figurines will be distributed via Japanime Games, in English!

The Krosmaster Board Game will contain:
  • 1 double-sided game board
  • 8 pre-painted character figures with corresponding cards
  • 15 "Golden Glories" tokens
  • 24 summoning tokens (Bombs, Dolls, Creatures and Traps)
  • 12 -1/+1 Action Point tokens
  • 12 -1/+1 Movement Point tokens
  • 50 Injury tokens (26x 1s, 12x 2s, 12x 5s)
  • 60 Demonic Reward tokens (twenty of each level: Granite, Jade and Gold)
  • 4 Crates, 8 Shrubs and 8 Trees
  • 8 custom dice
  • A 32-page rulebook
Each box will cost $80 USD.

By participating in the Krosmaster Arena Kickstarter, you can receive rewards for helping to fund the project and bring Krosmaster Arena to the US. Here’s a breakdown of the donor reward levels:
  • SUPPORTER LEVEL (starting with $1 USD pledge): a code to unlock a Yugo figurine in the Krosmaster Arena online game
  • HELPER LEVEL (starting with $15 USD pledge): the above + a physical version of the Yugo figurine
  • STARTER LEVEL (starting with $75 USD pledge): the above + a copy of the boardgame, and a poster (this pledge level gives you the best deal for your money if you just want the board game!)
  • COMMANDER LEVEL (starting with $100 USD pledge): the above + the Amalia promotional figurine and alternative trees and bushes
  • MASTER LEVEL (starting with $150 USD pledge): the above + the first three expansions of the game
  • COLLECTOR LEVEL (starting with $200 USD pledge): the above + special resin terrain set
  • I WANT EVERYTHING LEVEL (starting with $500 USD pledge): the above + all 32 figurines

Shipping for all pledge level prizes is free inside the US. As usual with Kickstarter projects, if we do not reach the projected $50,000 funding level, all participants will receive a full refund. This is a risk-free way to support the spread of DOFUS and WAKFU in English, so please consider donating!

Thanks for reading and playing!

wow this is going really well, although I personally wont end up supporting it, its almost half way with just under 50 days to go. I know so many people have been looking forward to this so good job
Kickstarter is a great source for advertisement too

It would be nice if there was a relatively low-cost pledge amount that gave us the "Goultard the Barbarian" figurine in the online game. As long as it was no more than $15, I'd consider pledging just for that.

Nice but would it be available to the UK?

Great idea using kickstarter. I do hope you guys keep useing kickstarter for future Ankama product that is not made into english. Maybe the first ever real english wakfu magazine?

Aaaaah everything is so expensive! And so beautiful!

This needs to happen. I love board games like this. I would definitely buy a copy. I'm currently playing/painting Super Dungeon Explore. Not many English board games that are done with a fun style such as Krosmaster.

@Onizukai: If this goes well (which it looks like it will), maybe it'll encourage Ankama to do a Kickstarter for officially releasing the anime in English..?

If anyone's read the boardgame's rulebook (pdf) they'd know there's SO MUCH more to the physical boardgame than the online one. Without the appropriate image response: SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY >

Interesting idea, using kickstarter. How about DVD box sets if this works out?

Grats on making the Goal threshold, Ankama! That was awfully quick.

...I'm going to need more money for this

posté March 15, 2013, 21:49:54 | #15
Wish I had the money for this, but looks like mine isn't needed, already reached the goal, dang. Now just do this for the wakfu animated series and we're set.

You can keep pledging even if the goal is reached. After a stretch goal is reached they add new ones until the time is up. Current one is Eva figure for pledges worth 100$ and up when they reach 100000$. Also they charge money on 1st of May so it's still time to decide or change pledges.

Hahaha I wanna buy this stuff at a comic shop! How much would it cost to have a Kickstarter for fixing the Bum Sack, now? That'd make me one happy Miner!
