sex and gender
Lol they are if used in the same terminology.

Sex can both represent gender (Male/female) as it can represent sexual intercourse.

1sex noun \ˈseks\: the state of being male or female

genderLine breaks: gen¦derPronunciation: /ˈdʒɛndə /NOUN1[MASS NOUN] The state of being male or female

You either copied and pasted half of a description or you aren't using the Oxford English dictionary definition, which if you aren't then you need to keep up with the times...

[mass noun] The state of being male or female (typically used with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones):

Holy crap, you sometimes make grammar laugh.

Do you even wonder why in applications they ask you "Sex?" Do you think you should answer "No thank you I'm a virgin?"

Please. Just- please, it takes so little to just search "Sex definition" on google, whether or not it's the Oxford English dictionary, because if you searched there, you were absolutely too lazy to scroll down and look at the other meanings of the word. Stop trying to shield yourself in your pride and admit you were wrong. It takes so little to be humble, and I admit I've been a prick about this. If you think that sex represents just what you think it represents, you should stop masturbating to everything and start seeing things in a non-pervert way.
