WAKFU in Closed Beta on Steam Your MMORPG is currently under Closed Beta Testing on Steam. While this might not concern all of our players, it should have clear implications about the bright future of our game…

WAKFU is opening up to the world!

This Closed Beta will be mostly focused on the English speaking territories, but it will also be possible to participate from other countries, provided that you have an International account.

The World of Twelve will not rebuild in a day, but with all the new adventurers joining our ranks, it should at least be a bit faster. You know the saying: The more on WAKFU, the merrier!

Are the servers going to remain connected between steam and the normal wakfu launcher?

This is gonna be fun. Just waiting to see the steam community wreck Ankama especially when they start messing up. But despite that it is good to see Ankama expanding a bit. Get some new players into the game. Show them turn based combat is still fun and relevant in todays gaming market, and not just for the European players.

I hear that the people testing this will get free stuff when it launches. I wonder if they will force us to use steam now.

That's great! Been thinking for a while you should be on steam.

However, you better step up your game support then Ankama. More players means more issues to be solved. And lets face it your support isn't great right now. Waiting more than 3 months for an issue to be fixed is a joke.

Are there any plans to lunch new international server? Servers are getting populated pretty quickly after change of the payment system. Remington and other were spiking to "high" frequently. There will be even more new players coming from steam. I bet all of those new players would rather play on a new server not on 2+ years old one.

It never had high population, it was a bug, all the servers are still on low population.

^^^

I seriously would love to have a steam key for closed beta. Honestly I'm so excited at the possibility of getting an influx of new people that can actually play together without getting frustrated of all the high players.

And of course I'm most excited for the Steam achievements.

Steam.
Wow.
Maybe (hopefully, FINALLY) I might be able to meet some other Steam people (on Steam, ofcourse) that have EVER HEARD about this game. (Seroiusly, I go play any steam game, ask random people " 'ey, ye heard 'bout Wakfu?" and they're all like "wtf is this Wak Fuuuu? :p lel" and this is really annoying)

Smartest move Ankama has made, ever.

If they fix the issue preventing people from buying Ogrines, it'll be good money for them and good populations for us.
