*looks at Karakedi's post*

You know what they say, the last person to realize something bad about you, is yourself.

I'm still good with the update. Looks like it's happening.

Come with a good argument instead of flaming me. I have yet to see a good argument from you. If you are so keen to be a leader then why don't you make your own guild, instead of taking over an existing guild...

Come with a good argument!!!

Also I didn't say that my arguments are bad, they weren't bad because nobody made good arguments against them till now. You are just flaming me for the second time without defending your own point with arguments, all I hear from you is "I want to be leader, f*ck the leader if he decides to go 2 months to a holiday,, oh god forbid the leaders to take a short break :/ You only think about yourself, and you take this game seriously. People have their real lifes what is the big deal if a person wants a 2 months break, as long as he or she is leading the guild consistent the rest of the year?

All I hear is whining from your side and taking a game serious.

Yeah, totally. Because I very much want to be the guild leader of my guild, mm-hmm. Good thing you know everything about me and haven't assumed anything at all throughout this thread. Thumbs up for doing your research!

Also what I said wasn't flaming. You're the one getting angry over text. Nothing that I said was whining, I was simply countering your arguments with those of my own. You're the one whining about the change that's happening whether you like it or not. Calm down.

I don't see the drama you are talking about. It would be better system overall and will cause less drama then the one suggested by Ankama.

If you believe that, then you're lucky to not have experienced the uglier side of an internet community.

I could definitely foresee a group of angry members banding together to overthrow a guild leader and then disbanding the guild out of spite.

Exhibit A: Massive drama in EVE Online.

I could definitely see hostile take-overs happening in any MMO, including Wakfu.

I do agree with Ankama's idea for automatic fail-over, though it could be an interesting option to add an "opt out" possibility.

@ SSBKewkky, I thought you said you were done going back and forth with her?

Theoretically - Couldn't the guild leader leave his/her alt as 2nd in command and thereby doubling the time spent away if they are so worried about it?

If I recall correctly the next in command has to have been active within the last 15 days at the end of the leader's 45 days period. Meaning the leader would have had to log the alt within days 30 to 45 for it to be eligible to be next in line. Moot when he or she could just log into the leader account.

Crossposting this (btw mods instead of censoring language where it is not necessary you might want to do your actual job and keep discussions in one place instead of being spread out all over the place):

Yes, there has to be a replacement system put into place. No, it cannot just be after 45 days and no it cannot be some arbitrary fall back system. The fall back system going down all the way to the bottom is horrible...How can people seriously think that 45 days is ok when Ankama's support service alone is not even able to solve payment issues in less than 90 days? So, my payment option screws up - which happens to random people at random times with the quality service Ankama offers - and I not only lose my freetime activity, they are going to take my guild on top of it? Yeah sure...Make it 90 days at the very least and also make it another 90 days before it trickles down the next rank, 90 for the next and so on. Otherwise you will have smaller guilds run by some fresh recruit in no time just because of a small chain of bad coincedences.

The people arguing in favour of this change have no realistic relationship towards time in the real world.
Neither do they have any understanding of how arbitrary trust is being handled by a majority of plasers, so the proposal to put a proper vice and then a vice of the vice of the vice of the vice in place is idiotic at best.

Btw what happens if two people are tied for the same vice rank?

I was just wondering for an approximation how long will the servers be down?

posté November 12, 2013, 10:03:28 | #208
I'd say that 45 days isn't very long in real life time, sure. But it is a long time in game -- and for a leader to be gone from the game for that long will do nothing but hurt a guild. As for your point about a vice of a vice of a vice -- Assuming you had so many high ranking people in your guild also be so inactive then you're either placing your trust in the wrong players or your guild has other problems(such as being dead). As for the two people being of the same second in command rank you'd hopefully be fine with either of them taking over control of the guild or alternatively you could spread their ranks out. Finally, your beef with not being able to swear is funny.

Samz -- Too long, but it can be down between an hour to six. Best to just go to bed and enjoy playing in the morning

The client keeps saying to download the older version of it from the french site...
Is this because the update on the servers itself isn't finished?
