Crit water eca's can still work, 9AP crits with rough tongue is 210 base damage.

Also the changes for winning streaks is more of a balance, the reason why they did it is because at higher levels it was easy and less reliant on luck to stack WS with black meow cat and it helped all branches get free 200% crit damage and 100% crit. It was also nerfed because eca die is meant for the fire branch just like tarot is meant for earth, thats why they only give specific elemental damage now.

That doesn't mean you can't get tarots as fire or eca die as earth. They are still great passives.

Just a small rant, but polarizing supports like that in general is just terrible design.

There's a reason classes like Iop and Cra tend to be more powerful in general. Because they actually have 10 different supports to choose from unlike Ecaflip where 2 of your passives are already determined for you and 4 are strictly off limits depending what tree you specialize in.

Not to mention the...inevitable train wreck when classes keep getting closer and closer to level 200 and classes start running out of passives that actually give them relevant bonuses (yeah, because every earth Ecaflip wants flealine army for Heads and Tails).

Not that this is an issue that must be tackled this very minute especially if more important things need to be dealt with, but this is an issue more easily solved earlier then later.

Tarot cards already have explicit support for earth branch. If eca die provided equal support to earth ecas they would be overpowered.
wrt fire spells D-Six is more useful than it was before due to unbalanced WS gains. Also, it has great range and even better for kiting than craps because it doesn't have mp cost.

Fire is fine now, this change was actually a buff for them because they don't need to crit to get their extra damage now.

The problem is that there is no synergy between the elements at all now, so hybrids are pointless.

Water also gets a pretty bad deal.

Fleahopper still buffs critical hit rate, which helps die alright.

The bonus is negligible now though.

At 10ap you can pull off 2x fleahopper + die alright. Which means 6-10 guaranteed buff to crit rate. And you'll get healing too. Eca die is less reliable and you'll often get jack shit.
