I made an alt rogue to test the Runaway talent, because I was very skeptical about it. Gotta say... my fears were confirmed. It does NOT work like the Sram ability (you don't dodge the attack).
Runaway gives you a 1-40% chance of moving back 1-3 squares AFTER you are hit. This means you WILL take damage before you run away. Furthermore, when you stop running away, you will EXPOSE YOUR BACK to the target that hit you. In other words: you set them up for a free backstab.
Every time you are hit, you might run away. Think about that. What's to stop a ranged class from keeping you away? If they keep procing Runaway while you keep trying to get close to them, how are you supposed to get in for the kill? Not to mention: every class can move 3 squares by default, and every class can hit you from 3 squares away. Even if you run away, chances are, you'll be hit again anyway.
