Spell lock was always there o.O

Really? I must have been blind then, because I didn't know it even existed until spell decks... Thought it was new...
Idk what he's talking about, but the current Spell lock system was introduced when the spell deck system was implemented.
Pretty sure I wasn't dreaming this XD

PS: Anyone know where the beta temple machine is at now?

I'm hopeful to finish my survival guide for the Xelor Apocalypse 2015. Will link when done.

- Madd
Ty~

Best build for nerfed Xelor is 5-3-1 and 3 active (with 2 decks)They ruined utility with new system.
Not sure what that means.

I'll just w8 for a guide. I'll check the french forum as well I guess, not rly in a hurry to play as I've read that the patch is a bugfest again ^^

I actually find it less restrictive, you could use all spells and actives before spell decks but you could only have 4 spells maxed at once (5 for two elements, 6 if you went all 3). Now you can have much more spells maxed at once, and you can shift around XP without having to respec with the introduction of spell locking.

Spell lock was always there o.O

Why not do 3-3-3-3? 3 from each element and 3 actives. If I recall, you only got 2 of each element under the old system, so I'm not sure how it's more restricted.
With the old system you could use 15 spells and all actives in a fight.
With the new one you are limited to 12 slots?

When did this happen? (Need tips) I'm a bit disappointed in this change, it feels a bit more restricted than it was since I last played.
I don't want to leave the training room till I ask you guys on how characters play now?

It seems to me that you have to sacrifice a lot of active skills in order to go a tri-build spell type.
What do people play now? Duo / Mono build? It seems that you have 3 deck choices.
But as I remember, mobs usually have quite high resists at higher levels in all branches and don't really have one major weakness, so I guess mono-builds aren't that great.
To use a tri-build with only 2 spells in a branch, I'm afraid that AP removing mobs (and I imagine most, if not all families after 110+ have AP removal) will cripple the usage of 6 - 5 AP capped spells.

What are ideal builds now? (for lvl 175+ content)

Thanks in advance.

-Pretty much the entire support thing was directed at skatercodyme's response where he gave those exact arguments that I pointed out.

-Calling me 'delusional' is rather insulting, in my opinion. Calling me a troll isn't much better.
Oh okay, I apologize if you felt insulted, wasn't intentional.

And again, please stop with the insults. Can you give a single reply without being rude? You should work on it.
I don't really think anyone is saying or thinking "Hero system shouldn't be allowed". What people seem to be raging about is how they are adding the new system via an extra sub. (more p2w content)

I only replied to your sentence regarding "support". With point 1,2,3 I agree with but you seem to be falsely assuming things because nobody is saying "they shouldn't be allowed". If anyone is actually saying pts 1,2,3, he/she is most probably an idiot. I fully support these p2w ideas because Wakfu is getting boring nowadays so, why not.

Also, in what phrase did I insult you? If you are reading my sentences with an
imaginative rude tone, then you're just being overly sensitive and most probably a woman. (See what I did there? :^)

-quote too long-
How can you give me that minecraft example?
Mojangs idea of support has a completely different meaning in this case. They mean they don't offer compatibility.
The support you imply Ankama is saying is mere opinion. (It's not like the next patch might not allow you play more clients, they just dont care if you multibox or not)
Yet they do support multi clients by adding features that make multi clienters a lot more handy?
ALSO, Zero said they make the hero system so it will be easier on multiboxers and solo boxers to play more alts. Instead of having to open 6 clients, you do the same thing on 2. (That slightly sounds like support to me)
Multiboxers only gain from this as I see it. I already have 8 accounts filled with level 100+ character, that just gives me a huge variety of team comps.
The only ones suffering here the most are solo f2p players. Locked out of new features.
You are not trolling me are you? -.-

MULTIBOXING IS NOT A SUPPORTED FEATURE OF WAKFU!
You are delusional on a whole new level.
I have to disagree here.
Ankama did always imply support on the multibox part ever since dofus. They themselves said that they aren't against multi boxing "If your PC can handle it, we won't stop you". Multiboxers always brought more money to the table anyways. Why do you think they implemented features such as "Click to follow" after so many requests by multiboxers?
Seems to me like they modestly do support the idea. Brings them more profit obviously.
Just to give you a personal experience, even back at launch, when you had to do the quests for the UBs, if I DCed in the instance on one of my chars, I've contacted support and they were like: "Do you mulibox? Okay, we'll just resend you the quest items in your gift tab after checking the log".

If they even slightly were against multiboxing, they'd simply make the client a 1 time run instance only. Something that is very easy to do. Or just let one instance of the same IP run at a time. Something they even said will never happen.

PS: Zero himself said, they make the Hero system to offer an easier multi accounting service.

They are turning the game solo-able, which in my opinion, is a good thing. Many good players are held back by random or guild noobs. This way, they can blast through dungeons easy peasy.

Well, 2 reasons why games are either successful or less successful:

1. The game itself.
2. The business model.

Ankama always failed to deliver in both. The game is a constant beta and the marketing is just... being weirder then ever. (I still didn't forget the thing you did with the Makabras btw)
What happened to Troyle btw? Did they lay him off?

I thought the spell revamp was the changes to all the secondary stats and how we assign points different than we used to.which changed....im not sure....3 or so months back? And as for the balance issue its idiotic to
"oh we rather not balance all classes together and focus on one at a time"
Hmmm I might have miss used the word "Spell revamp" , I'm not referring to the September patch that changed the whole Characteristic points allocation tree / nor the minor spell balance that has been going on lately.

Soon after the Sept. patch, Mango did a stream with 2 (I think) members of the dev team, and one of them mentioned that they are working on an overhaul of "Spell XP". So when one is grinding, you don't have to worry about the chaotic " xp distribution amongst used spells / battle.

I'm still checking in on the forum, w8ing for them to do the skill overhaul so I can come back and play... if that is ever going to happen... I remember reading about it sometime last year in September yet still nothing.
they uh, they already did that. you mean the spell revamp?
Yes, spell revamp, they said something about main spells and secondary spells and how spell xp gets distributed in a diff way of how it is atm.

are you serious? they make contests and dont give the prizes? is it really that hard ankama? is it real stuff like t shirts or money? or digital prizes like sets, pets etc? if it is the second there is no excuse for the delay, it should be next day, the first case may be difficult to send the prizes but 2 months?
Few years back I won physical prizes on "Ankama on Air"
I got quite a nice package with DvDs, artbooks, posters, cards etc.etc.
I received those after 9days including shipping time.
The only difference now is that the international mods are no longer around.
I miss Mascha and William :c
I miss Ankama on AIR!

So I ran Lenald today... Running dungeon at content around my level Fungus, Black Rabbit etcetc works quite smooth with the revamp but Empelol Temple...
Probably one of the longest dungeons next to Hagen due that annoying 100% armor thing.
230 tokens for that belt...
It's gonna be a looooong week for me.

Is there a trick to 1 shot them? Bcz sometimes that annoying armor doesn't proc and they just die off.

2) give us a reset item, one that removes runes and resets it to unidentified. (or two items, whatevs)
They could make transmutation stones reset the item to unidentified instead a reroll so we could box items, but...
