edit1: Id love to go distance, and pick the aoe and std spells, go crit, why is this going to be a bad idea? I know bombs dont crit, but it would be more of an support element. so, you could think this as pure earth, if you wish, but its not actually correct. this way Id have all sdt has, except powerfull melee what I am switching into aoe. does this kind of build have some major flaws? honestly, reason for this is simply for having fun, but then, is this good, or bad, and most importantly why. I know I sould not question meta too much as a noobb, it is simply not good for learning and so on..
Don't worry too much about trying to be tier1 5* elite alphaomega.
Honestly, if you want to build (near) mono earth ((which admittedly anyone who mains the earth branch forsakes the other branches)) it's not an entirely junk build.
Go with Bomber Fan, Runaway, and Initiator for sure passives.
Inhalation is good if you need/want more init. Carnage always a good choice.
Surprise Shot will help if you plan on using 3-4 spells each turn (that arent bombs). The reason is because the -30 res is nice but having it proc one time a turn doesn't outweigh another passive in it's slot.
You can also use Mine Sweeper (I do) and ignore the damage from firewall (still procs Bomber Fan if you are using it) and you gain 1 range and 2 control, along with more bomb damage when/if you use them.
