I'm sorry but this company is forever a joke to me, no, worse than a joke. Any company whose system and customer service is so bad that a valid customer can't even pay them (ridiculously bad payment options aside) is a literal embarrassment to humanity.
The ability for the customer to easily buy one's product at the advertised price is one of the most basic and fundamental parts of a company's very skeleton. The ability to have clear, immediate communication with one's customers so that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently is but another. And yet, Ankama has failed miserably on these 2 simple, basic principles of business.
I literally feel sorry for those who are stuck working for this joke of a company. Square Enix was pretty smart to ditch these clowns who can't even maintain fundamental business principles, let alone manage and maintain a healthy online community. All sincere efforts that are made by those who truly want things to succeed are ultimately wasted due to how incompetent the company is as a whole which is honestly quite sad.
If I had to rate how much potential is being tapped by Ankama, I'd say less than 10% and it really honestly shows. They are disrespectful not only to their customers, but to their selves. They are dragging their own people under by how terrible they have done and are doing. This is beyond just getting their act together, they need a serious intervention and complete internal change to get out of this muck.
Unfortunately, their disgusting performance has been an ongoing issue since the very start from what I've seen. There's really not much to see here. Just wasted talents, ideas, and efforts...a dream seeping ever deeper beneath the rotting crust of what could have been.
