The Game Suddently Exits Hello.

I played wakfu for a week or two, but lately the game just exits without any massage. It does not exit in a particular window (login window, select character window etc). I tried virus scans and cleaned my computer but it still exits, I also changed the resolution and it helped forfew days but not it isnt helping anymore. Do I have to download the game again?

my internet did that too, and i looked up this site and it worked apperently i had this program on my comp that did it
what i am suggesting is that you find that website, and it will help you
unfrotunately i cant help you because i looked it up 3 months ago and i dont remember a thing abt any of it exept the fact that i was there

The problem might actually be a virus protection or firewall program on your computer. I'd check the proxy server you use for the game (Go to userprefrences and open it in notepad) then open a firewall program and let up on the protection or let it access that proxy. That may or may not work. : D

Your firewall probably thinks that Wakfu is unsafe for your computer for some reason. Like an overprotective parent.

Sorry for "resurrecting" this post, but since I'm having the same problem I realized it would better to not create a new topic. About the game exitting, that's exactly what happens to me. This is the second day I play Wakfu. Yesterday I had NO problems, but today the game suddendly started to exit.
It's really annoying, because most of time it exits I'm in the middle of a battle. The time it takes to exit seems to be random.
I'm not a computer expert, but if it is the Firewall, why it took 1 day for me (and weeks for Kiaraire) to start closing the game?

Hey guys, i love the mmorpg but i'm having an incredibly infuriating problem. The game crashes about 5-15 mins into the game. It freezes and the music keeps playing but that's about it. I've tried leaving it alone, doesn't work.

Oh and the connection is DSL and the computer can run crysis on full. And firewall port is open.

always better then me. i can play the game for 5 secondes then it just quit. no music, just nothing.
the admins dont really answare question to my opinion, i think they bussy with inproving the game, however bugs are quite annoying, but if people cant even play, thats quite bigger problem.
maby there should be people wich can answare questions on the english forum.

Update: turns out this only happends during graphically bisy moments. No, strangely, never happened when i walk unto a squaire and umpteen billion bags unfold. Only in fights. So every time i log back in, i have to heal.

thats right. even if you have 5GB RAM you have lagg at that places.

but...

wich grafic card are you using? because at ATI readon are some updates that some series has to be updated. and that they will work again soon or something.

btw, i get a crash and in the error report i read that its a problem with java.
i gto the newest version of java, but it said i cant find a file.
maby you know whats wrong with it.

It's a geforce nvidia 8800 gtx

Oh yeah, ran into a cool crash. I decided to lower resolution and fullscreen the game, but upon startup, the game gave me a french error message about graphics. I had to manually switch it in the preferences, otherwise it wouldnt launch. So no fullscreen, but 1600-etc windowed is fine.

you mean your game works fine now?

It hasn't recurred yet, but the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. I was just explaining another problem.

I am starting to think it was mostly due to server load. This game is pretty fragile with other windows running in the background. I mean most games i can alt-tab, this one goes under half the time

This is egzactly what i have. Ive been searching the forum for 2 hours trying to see if it was just my computer someone please help me

hello people.....i love wakfu its a pretty cool game but when i log onto my toon theres a countdown thingy in the top right hand corner and when it reaches 0 the game completaly closes down....anyone kno why?

@ cyberforce-tg: The game usually freezes if you spam your shortcut keys before it is your turn in the fight. For example, if the Demonic Rose is in the process of attacking you, or if a summon, whether yours or your enemy's, is in the process of using a spell, if you keep pressing one of your keyboard spell shortcuts, the game WILL freeze.

This seems to be an problem that the devs are currently working on.


@ minwheat That countdown is for your quests. It can be toggled from this button:



When the timer expires, if you are in a zone where quests are active, you shall receive a quest. You can the choose whether or not to accept it. Not accepting it will reset the timer.

Yeah I'm having the same issue game exits but was fine days ago.
